HarnessHive

HarnessHive lets wiring harness engineers design schematics, physical routes, BOMs, and true-scale formboards in one synchronized browser-based document. Teams can collaborate, export manufacturing files, and use AI-proposed harness edits.

Who it's for

  • Wiring harness engineers who need schematic, routing, BOM, and formboard views to stay synchronized.
  • Harness shops and freelancers preparing a BOM and full-scale formboard for a build bench.
  • Startups, machine builders, and student teams developing and handing off harness designs with shared history.

Not the right fit if…

  • Teams that need KiCad or Onshape importers today: those importers are listed as coming soon.

How it fits your workflow

Design the logical netlist by placing components and splices, connecting pins, and assigning conductors. Define connectors, branch points, routes, and coverings in the physical wiring view; the BOM, cut lengths, and 1:1 formboard follow the same live model.

Collaborators edit together with live cursors and presence. The AI assistant can read attached CSV wire lists and find parts from supplier sources, then presents edits as proposals that users apply explicitly.

Export the BOM and cut list to XLSX, the full-scale formboard to PDF, or the complete harness as JSON. An MCP server also lets connected agents read workspace harnesses, BOMs, empty cavities, and libraries.

Key features

Synchronized harness views
Design a harness through schematic, physical wiring, BOM and cut-list, and formboard views in one live document. Routes, cut lengths, parts, and drawings are derived from the same model.
Schematic and wiring design
Place components and splices, connect component pins, assign conductors to connections, and define physical routes, branch points, and coverings.
BOM and cut-list generation
Parts and cut lengths are derived from the live harness model, and the workbook can be exported to XLSX.
True-scale formboard
Create a manufacturing drawing at true 1:1 scale, kept in sync with the wiring, and export it as a full-size PDF.
Real-time collaboration and history
Multiple people can edit the same harness with live cursors and presence. Per-user undo, Viewer, Editor, and Admin roles, and read-only history and snapshots are included.
AI assistant
The assistant can read attached CSV wire lists, find real parts from supplier sources, create parts, place them, and connect cavities. Proposed edits do not change the harness until applied.

Works with

  • CSV
  • MCP-compatible agents
  • XLSX, PDF, and JSON
  • KiCad and Onshape

Limitations to know

  • KiCad and Onshape importers are listed as coming soon, rather than currently available.
  • The supplied page does not state prices for plans beyond the 14-day free trial.

Getting started

  1. Start the 14-day free trial; no credit card is required.
  2. Open HarnessHive in a browser; the page says nothing needs to be installed.
  3. Create or import harness data and work across the synchronized design views.
  4. Invite collaborators or connect an agent through the MCP server if needed.
