SeenByLLMs
SeenByLLMs runs buyer questions against AI models and reports whether a brand is mentioned, which competitors appear, and which pages are cited. It is for brand and marketing teams that want an on-demand AI visibility check in the browser.

Who it's for
- Brand and marketing teams checking whether AI assistants name their product in buyer-relevant questions.
- Teams that want a one-time competitor and citation report without a scheduled monitoring dashboard.
- Marketers willing to use an OpenRouter key and set a spend limit to run model checks.
Not the right fit if…
- Teams that need daily or weekly monitoring without opening the page: runs are manual and there is no schedule.
- Teams that need ChatGPT website results or Google AI Overviews: the page says the checker uses API answers, not those experiences.
How it fits your workflow
Create an OpenRouter key, set a spending limit, and paste it into the browser app. Enter a brand, up to five competitors, and buyer questions, or edit suggested prompts.
Review which questions omit the brand, which competitors are named, and the reported score. Read or export the results as HTML or CSV.

Key features
- On-demand AI visibility checks
- Run buyer questions against AI models and see which answers name the brand, which omit it, and which competitors appear instead.
- Brand and competitor tracking
- Enter a product name, up to five rivals, and buyer questions; alternatively, begin with suggested prompts and edit them.
- Cited-page reporting
- With web search enabled, answers include sources, which are labeled by type, such as the brand's own site, a competitor, a review site, a forum, or editorial.
- Published scoring formula
- The score combines mention rate, share of voice, and rank score using a published formula. Failed calls are excluded from the numbers.
- HTML and CSV reports
- Read the results in the app or export the report as HTML or CSV. Paid plans include CSV export.
- Local browser operation
- The app runs in the browser, stores the OpenRouter key in browser local storage, and does not require a SeenByLLMs account.
Works with
- OpenRouter
- OpenRouter web search
Limitations to know
- Runs are manual: users must open the page and press Run; there is no scheduled run or hosted monitor.
- Model-call costs are billed separately by OpenRouter and are not included in the monthly or lifetime price.
- The checker uses API answers, which the page says are not the ChatGPT website or Google AI Overviews.
- The product does not promise improved rankings; it reports what models said for a given run.
- Data stays in the current browser and does not sync to other machines; users must export a backup to move it.
- The page says it does not provide SSO, a SOC 2 packet, shared seats, or an account.
Alternatives to consider
-
Superlines
Choose it if you need visibility data collected from real user-interface outputs and want UI, API, or MCP access rather than SeenByLLMs' browser-based, on-demand checks.
-
MentionBird
Choose it if you want per-prompt recommendations for improving visibility in addition to tracking mentions, citations, and competitors.
-
Peec AI
Choose it if you need AI search analytics with Visibility, Position, and Sentiment metrics across models and regions.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the data live?
Data stays in the browser. SeenByLLMs says it has no server and no account; export a backup before switching machines because data does not sync.
Is my OpenRouter key safe?
The key is stored in browser local storage and sent to OpenRouter, not through SeenByLLMs. The page recommends setting a spending limit on the key.
How is the score calculated?
Score = round(100 × (0.5 × mention rate + 0.3 × share of voice + 0.2 × rank score)). Rank score is 100 for first place down to 0 at sixth or worse. Failed calls are excluded.
How does it decide my brand was mentioned?
It uses plain-text matching on the brand name, listed aliases, and competitors. Ranking reflects the order in which companies first appear in an answer.
Where do the cited sources come from?
Web search is on by default through OpenRouter's openrouter:web_search tool. Sources are labeled by type. The page says search costs about $0.007 per request on models that do not search natively, billed by OpenRouter.
Why do different models disagree?
The page attributes differences to models having different training data and, for some, different search results.
