Smart Jelly
Smart Jelly is a Mac AI assistant that connects work conversations, meetings, and project context to chat, dictation, follow-ups, and document creation. Mac-based professionals can use it to retrieve work context and handle routine tasks from one app.
Who it's for
- Mac-based professionals who want answers grounded in their work messages, calls, and notes.
- People who switch between work apps and want dictation or voice interaction in the app they are using.
- Teams or individuals who need meeting preparation, notes, and follow-up tracking without a meeting bot joining calls.
Not the right fit if…
- People using Windows or Intel Macs: Smart Jelly is a Mac app and requires Apple silicon.
- People using macOS earlier than 14: the stated minimum requirement is macOS 14 or later.
How it fits your workflow
Install the Mac app, sign in, and choose which apps and websites it may read. Smart Jelly builds a shared memory of permitted work conversations, meetings, people, and projects.
Ask a question, dictate into a text box, use voice, or get meeting assistance. Answers can draw on messages, calls, and notes and show their source; meetings do not require a bot to join.
Ask it to find commitments or draft work materials. Review generated emails, documents, sheets, or slides before confirming; early-access agents work in their own browser and ask before payment.

Key features
- Work-aware chat
- Ask questions about work and get answers based on permitted messages, calls, and notes, with the source for each answer.
- Cross-app dictation
- Speak into text boxes across apps, including browsers and code editors. Dictation can use work-specific names and tidy sentences in the user's usual style.
- Voice assistant
- Talk to Jelly from another app, hear answers aloud, and ask it to type a reply into the app in front of you.
- Meeting assistance
- Get preparation based on past conversations, quiet in-call help, and meeting notes afterward. The page says no bot joins the call.
- Open Loops
- Find promises and follow-ups in chats, mail, and calls, receive reminders before they are due, and mark them complete.
- Document creation
- Request emails, documents, sheets, or slides in plain language. The generated work draws on prior discussions and waits for the user to check and press the button.

Frequently asked questions
Which apps does Smart Jelly read?
Only apps and websites the user allows. The list can be changed in Settings › Privacy. Banking, crypto, and password apps are never read.
Does Smart Jelly record the screen?
No. The page says it reads text in allowed apps the way screen readers do and does not record the screen.
Where does the data live?
The memory is kept in an encrypted database on the Mac. When a request is made, only the few lines it needs are sent to the AI, with passwords and card numbers removed first.
Does dictation work in every app?
It works in any text box the user can type in, including browsers and code editors. Press Control-Option to start and press it again to stop.
Will Smart Jelly send emails or make purchases without asking?
No. Emails, documents, and slides wait until the user presses the button. Agents ask before payment, and card fields are hidden from the AI.
Does Smart Jelly join meetings as a bot?
No. Nothing joins the call or appears in the participant list; Smart Jelly runs on the Mac.
Can users add their own API key?
Yes. Users can add it in Settings and use Smart Jelly with no app limits.
